Features & Applications

  • Features

    • High pressure membrane accumulator
Membrane-type accumulator eliminates Nitrogen leakages, ensuring constant maximum impact power and eliminating the need for recharging in field.
    • Service access to high pressure membrane accumulator
This design allows faster and safer on-site troubleshooting and service. Optimal setup for air cargo.
    • Indexable power cell (left or right handed)
The ability to rotate the powercell 180 degress is part of the twin-handed design, allowing for optimal mounting on both left and right handed carriers, prolonging the service life of the hose connections.
    • Vibration and sound suppressed
Less vibrations and at the same time significantly lower noise levels are achieved with this ultra-modern, low-wear design. This protects the operator, the carrier and relieves the environment. This extends your range of applications on narrow job sites and wherever noise protection is required.
    • Standard housing (round corners)
Heavy Duty housings feature a robust structure, are made of wear-resistant steel, with minimum number of holes and heavy duty wear plates for optimum vibration- and noise dampening. Resulting in a longer housing lifetime even in the harshest of applications, reducing the cost of ownership through less maintenance.
    • Heavy Duty housing (sharp corners)
Super Duty housings are designed for the toughest of applications, featuring a robust structure. They are made of wear-resistant steel, with minimum number of holes and heavy duty wear plates for optimum vibration- and noise dampening. Resulting in a longer housing lifetime even in the harshest of applications, reducing the cost of ownership through less maintenance.
    • Stone claws on housing
Stone claws are ideal wear parts for material handling, especially useful in boulder breaking and in concrete demolition.
    • Optimized hydraulic connection points towards carrier
The relatively short hydraulic hoses go upwards from the hammer to the carrier boom. This allows full utilization of the working length of the hammer in narrow applications.  In demolition, trenching or underwater applications there is little contact to the material. In applications with quick hitch mounting brackets ask your hammer distributor for smart solutions.
    • FBE (Fixed Blow Energy)
The built-in pressure control valve maintains hydraulic pressure levels to ensure that every blow delivers the maximum power, yielding optimum productivity in all applications.
    • RamValve
More efficient than relief/check valves, Ramvalve detects overflow, prevents damage from system overload and protects against premature failure.
    • Idle blow protector
The Idle Blow Protection (IBP) ensures the hammer cannot be operated until pressure is placed on tool. This eliminates tie rod stress, reduces oil overheating and protects against premature failures.
    • VIDAT tie rods
Vibration dampened, external tie rods (VIDAT) with spherical tie rod nuts and elastomeric vibration dampers. No special tools are required for service. This design guarantees a safe, fast and error-free installation (without torsion) and extends the service life of your RAMMER hammer.
    • Fast-change tool system
Quick and safe tool change system transverse to the hammer. No need to reach under the hammer during tool change.
    • Field replaceable lower tool bushing
Field replaceable lower tool bushing eliminates transport to service workshop.
    • RAMLUBE I (optional)
      Carrier mounted greasing device
    • RAMLUBE II (optional)
The RAMLUBE II is a state-of-the-art, convenient and automatic lubrication system for RAMMER hydraulic hammers, which significantly extends the service life of wearing parts. The RAMLUBE II is mounted on your hammer housing and is a self-venting impulse lubrication system.  The grease volume of the RAMLUBE II can be externally adjusted. We recommend to use our original Rammer tool greases, which are developed for hammer applications. There are available three different greases: original Rammer Tool Grease for standard applications, Rammer Meissel Paste for special applications and Artic Tool Grease for cold climate conditions.
    • RD3 incl. SAM (as standard)
RD3 for SAM as standard. Online hour meter and location tracking in Google MapsTM. For further information, please contact your Rammer distributor.
    • Air connection
Air connection as standard for connection to either Ramair or applications under water. Read the operator's manual and consult with your dealer.
    • Ramair (optional)
The RAMMER - RAMAIR air supply prevents dirt from entering the hammer housing and the impact chamber in order to achieve longest service life of the RAMMER hammer even in the most demanding applications. It also ensures that the tool grease is conveyed to the tool bushings at any time and in any position of the hammer and that no overfilling occurs. The RAMMER - RAMAIR is particularly recommended for highly abrasive and dusty materials or overhead applications, such as tunneling or robbery work.
  • Applications

    • Primary demolition
Demolition of standing buildings and structures.
    • Trenching
Trenching is a form of primary breaking in which a narrow trench is excavated especially for laying pipes, cables or for installing drainage
    • Secondary demolition
Demolition of larger pieces on the ground (size reduction, separation and preliminary sorting tasks)
    • Primary breaking
Hammer fitted to an excavator working directly in a bench to breaks away rock which can then be removed by truck. This is most commonly used where blasting is not allowed.
    • Secondary breaking
When blasted rock is too big for the feeder or crusher, secondary breaking is needed to get the boulders down to size. The type of rock dictates the effectiveness of the process, with brittle rock giving the best performance.
    • Underwater breaking
Underwater breaking, be it primary breaking and/or demolition is a specialized application, in which material is broken and removed by equipment which is partly or fully submerged.
